This weekend I got with Jeremy to shoot his BEAUTIFUL NISMO 370Z because he decided to put it up for sale and go a different route with a different car. Jeremy understands what I have been telling many car owners for years….nice photos can make or break your for sale ad Not sure what his plans are for his next vehicle but knowing his past its will be super legit and knowing this car pretty well I can tell you who ever decides to throw down the cash to pick this beast up will be one happy person, i know I would be. Anybody willing to purchase this boosted 370Z for me gets free photography for life! Any takes? PLEASE?!?! LOL! Dang it.

Ive been wanting to try this for awhile but I needed the appropriate vehicle for it. Here is where the 911 comes in, this beautiful car is equipped with Porsche’s Aero Kit and spittin flames at ya! The before and after on this image is pretty crazy, I have about 2.5 hours wrapped up in the post processing on this shot but I think it was worth it. Its by far not a boring rig shot

A quick run down of what I did….

-Removed the rig from the image.
-Desaturated the car/wheels then brought the color back in the taillights and center caps.
-Got rid of reflections in the paint.
-Adjusted the levels on the wheels and tires to bring out more detail.
-Adjusted the exposure of wheels, taillight and exhaust tips.
-Added a better sky and getting rid of the trees above the car.
-Adjusted the exposure and color of the trees infront of the car.
-FLAMES!!!! Yeah i know they are corny. whatever, I like them =P hahhaa.

I was headed down to the southside of ATL for a meet last night and knew David was going to be out in his well done Rio Yellow AP2 S2000 with very legit parts. We got together right before the meet to set up for a single rig shot. I couldnt sleep last night so I decided to do an image build and some desktop wallpapers. Hope you enjoy!

The Official EvoATL Photoshoot was planned to take place a few weeks back but it was canceled in fear of bad weather. So here we go with round two! Most people know I put A LOT of work into my photography which generally makes for great results but it also makes for photoshoots that arent whats considered cheap(atleast not in the Atlanta area). After talking to many of my friends on EvoAtlanta.com we decided to put a great package deal together as long as I got 10 cars willing to do the shoot. For Evo owners this is a chance for me to shoot your car at a HUUUUUUGE discount over what I normally charge for a full shoot. If you cant make it, I understand…just get with me when your ready for a full shoot at full price hahhhahaaa!

I said I wasnt going to do it, I said I didnt need something else to mess with while Im on the internet lol business has been slow lately though and I just spent A LOT of money on nice camera gear a few months back. Money is tight and the last thing I want to do is have to sell one of my nice lens to take care of bills….thats a horrible thing to think about! FRIEND HAS STROKE WHICH RESULTS IN PARALYZATION AND BRAIN SURGERY

some people might remember my good friend EricP from the project motorsports car club days and the car scene a few years ago. he used to drive this car….

he isnt as active in the car scene anymore since he no longer has that car but has been out to many trackdays and events with me in the past few years and still remains a very close friend to me.

this past friday night eric came back home from the gym to tell him brother he had a headache and go into his room. a few minutes later his brother went in to check on him to find erics computer chair knocked over and him unconscious on the floor.

what the doctors are saying is he strained himself at the gym that night which caused a block in the artery in his neck, because of that block his brain started to swell and cause him to have a major stroke.

the left side of his body is paralyzed and he has major brain swelling. they had to shave his head, cut his scalp back and remove 50% of his skull to allow room for his brain untill it goes back down. they have put his scalp back over his brain and he has 60 staples in his head. they are saying he will be like this for 3-6 months untill they can put his skull back together. he is also on a ventilator to help him breath an they have said if he isnt going to be able to do it own his own by thursday they are going to do a tracheotomy (a hole in his throat for a breathing tube). they have also given him a 50/50 chance of getting feeling and movement back in the left side of his body and ever walking again.

this is going to be a very long and very hard time for eric and his family. they said he will be sent home from the hospital in 2-3 weeks and will have to wear and helmet to protect his head for the next 3-6 months along with many months if not years of physical therapy…..and like i said its still a 50/50 chance if he will be able to walk again.

financially they are going to also have a very hard time. eric will not be able to be left home so his mom(the only parent) will not be able to work so bills are going to stack up fast with no money coming in. if anyone would like to make a donation to help eric and his family through this very difficult time im sure they would more more than thankful for any help they can get….they are really going to need it. if you decide you would like to make a donation please paypal me and i will give erics mom the money. my paypal is chadbee1982@yahoo.com. please mark it as a gift and put in the notes that it a donation to help EricP and his family.

UPDATE: THIS MORNING(MAY 28TH) ERIC PASSED AWAY….R.I.P. to my friend Eric Partin aka EricP aka EricPezzy….you will always be remembered and never forgotten. i love you buddy.

Formula DRIFT 2010 Round 2: Road to the Championship

May 7th and 8th is pretty much my favorite days of the year. Its like Christmas in the middle of summer for car enthusiasts here in Atlanta. Formula Drift is without a doubt THE automotive event of the year, nothing else can touch it in my opinion. If you have never been, you just wont fully understand that statement and brush it off as me just being over dramatic. If you have gone then theres nothing you can do but agree with me cause we both know Im right lol. The sight of these INSANE drift cars coming down the hill at 90MPH+ and blowing there tires off feet from you is something that, while your watching it, it really doesnt sink in…its just too much badassness. Once again this year I had a media pass to get a little closer to the track and go places most people cant. I wanted to make this blog post to give out desktop wallpaper’s of the top the finishers but you can see all my photos from this past weekends event by checking out my HOME PAGE

Im hyped up. Formula Drift is without a doubt my favorite car event of the season here in Atlanta. Its just so much awesome-ness that a single person cant really take it all in. Its an over whelming experience to say the least. If you have never been I highly suggest you make it out to Road Atlanta on May 7th and 8th. I will be out there shooting again this year and im very much looking forward to providing some sick shots to all my friends. Since last year I have upgraded from a Nikon D90 to a full frame Nikon D700 and from a Sigma 70-200 f2.8 lens to a Nikon 80-200 f2.8 AF-S lens so I have the proper camera gear without a doubt for this years event. I think me as a photographer has also made some good progression in both my shooting and post processing so needless to say Im ready to see what kind of event coverage I produce this year.

While wondering around the world wide web a few weeks ago I came across this Youtube prank video I thought was pretty funny. You can skip the “oh man thats older than the internet” comments cause I dont care =)

A few days later I had some time where my mind started drifting and I LOL’d at the thought of this video. Then I thought to myself you gotta be pretty brave to do this to a woman knowing she will be holding a broom stick after the bowl of water comes to crashing down onto her head. Just to have alittle fun I posted up on my home forum offering a free rig shot to the 1st person that did this to their girlfriend/wife and got it on video. I didnt think anybody was going to go through with it. One of our local guys that drives a murdered out Maxima DID go through with it and posted the video in my thread. I laughed, and laughed and laughed……..and laughed. It was great. I am a man of my word so I told him to come’on out to my side of town and lets slap the rig on the Maxima and get it done! Hopefully the shot was worth it to him….it was definitely worth it to me LOL
