A few new shots of the Viberator!
I was bored tonight and decided to put some strobes on the Viberator! The only pictures I have of it are using ambient light and not much post processing. I was waiting till i got some mod’s to do a real shoot but I had the itch to strobe a car and it couldnt wait till the shoot I have tomorrow hahahha
Like I have said before, this thing is the perfect photographers vehicle, I freaking love it!

NEW CAMERA GEAR HAULER!
As most of you already know a few months ago I accepted a position at myphotopipe.com, which is a high end photography print lab in Atlanta. My daily commute is now 1-2 hours round trip….of course depending on Atlanta traffic hahhaa. The only thing that bothered me about this was the horrible gas mileage of my V8 Silverado so I decided it was time for a new vehicle. Picking out a “new to me” car became something that was far from easy. I have requirements that were hard to meet, this is what I needed out of my next vehicle….
-30+ MPG
-VERY reliable
-Something “peppy” to be able to GTFO out of the way of idiots on 285 lol
-Enough room to do an amazing audio system(something Ive been wanting to do) and still fit all my camera gear
-Under $7000
-Nothing that made me look like a punk ricer kid
-The color red, white, silver or pretty much anything not ugly or dark colored.
Yes I know Im picky LOL After asking friends, making threads looking for suggestions and doing a bunch of research I started looking at Mazda Protege5 wagons. I liked the styling a lot but I found some issues like the rear seats not folding completely flat and it was lacking a little in the HP department(130HP). After looking around more I started looking into the Toyota Matrix and the XRS model they offer with the VVTL-i 180HP/130TQ motor and 6 speed transmission borrowed from the Celica GTS…..I was impressed. The factory 110 volt plug in on the dash(to power strobes or charge my camera battery) plus the fold 100% flat rear and passenger seats sold me. I also found out that Pontiac collaborated with Toyota to make their own version, which was all Toyota except for the exterior styling and called the Vibe GT. So I decided….thats what I needed, so the search started. I found out quickly this was not going to be easy, the Vibe GT and Matrix XRS are cars that are not that easy to find, the base models with the 130HP motors where every where but thats not what I wanted! I ended up finding a white 2003 Vibe GT with 102K miles at a dealership in Hilton Head SC and they were asking $6900 for it. I wanted it. After talking to the dealer for a few days getting all the details on the car and getting the price down to where I wanted it I was ready to make something happen! I put a deposit down the hold the car and made the 8 hour round trip this weekend to get it. Along the way home I took some pictures when I stopped to stretch my legs/smoke/piss/eat/whatever lol so here she is, my 2003 Frosty White Pontiac Vibe GT….AKA “The Viberator” hehehheeee

Plans for this car isnt much to be honest. Im going to do a crazy audio build in it with all T3 Audio equipment, a nice alarm, tint the front windows a little darker, coilovers and deal with the minor issues it has like needing a GOOD detail on the paint and getting that ugly discolored clear protectant replaced in front of the rear wheels. This is what the exterior should look like by the start of next year….
Jess and Heath sitting in a tree har har har
I know Im retarded, dont make fun of me its not nice. While I may be an idiot I still managed to make my way up to Chattanooga TN to get with Jess and Heath to do their engagement photos this past weekend. Right before I left town I treated my Nikon D700 to a new toy, the Nikon SB-900 speedflash. Bang for the buck I am a firm believer that lighting is one of the best things you can upgrade in this VERY expensive world of photography. The SB-900 really helped me get more fill where I needed it and I am pretty happy with the images from the shoot. Here are some of my personal favorites from this portrait session….

Selling my Truck….
Im putting my truck up for sale to pick up something with a tad better gas mileage since I now have a 3 hour round trip to work daily with my new job. I do NOT want to sell this truck because of how amazing it has treated me over these past 6 months but I know its what is best.
1999 Chevrolet 1500 LS
2WD, short bed, regular cab, equipped with the 5.3L V8 and automatic transmission.
188,640 miles as of right now, this will go up as this is what I drive every day
The paint is not in the best condition, it is faded and is even flaking off in spots. The driver side mirror is cracked. the tailgate handle is broke but the tailgate does still open. Once every couple weeks the drivers side window wants to act funny and go up really slow or not at all for a few minutes. The interior over head lights do not work.
What its lacks in prettiness it more than makes up for in being one of the best vehicles I have ever owned. Let me tell you how reliable this truck is, since I have owned it I have changed the oil and put gas it….thats it, and I have drove it….
Conyers to Alto and back twice
Conyers to Macon and back twice
Conyers to Alpharetta and back three times
Conyers to Statesboro and back(hauling a trailer moving my brother back to school)
Conyers to Peachtree City and back atleast 20 times
Conyers to Atlanta and back atleast 35 times
Conyers to Chattanooga and back
All that was on the interstate at 80MPH with AC full blast.
If your looking for a vehicle to “tinker” with, this is not the truck for you. If you want a vehicle to put gas in and just drive it and not have to worry about anything then this is perfect.
The interior of the truck is VERY clean. I personally spent over 6 hours detailing the interior. It was stripped bare on the inside and detailed properly.
The tires are basically brand new, the brakes are perfect, the transmission shifts exactly like it should, the motor runs strong, all blinkers and exterior lights work, AC blows ICE COLD, the heat works and it rides very nice…it may not be the prettiest truck but it sure is a dang good one.
PRICE: $4500

My top 10 of NOPI/HIN ATL
This past weekend was filled with rice, very clean imports(and domestics), good people and heat stroke temperatures at Atlanta Motor Speedway for the NOPI/Hot Import Nights car show. Atlanta, well to be more specific, IMPORTzine.com represented VERY hard and more than one of the cars in their booth will place in my top 10 of the show. I know its not far to include the Lambo’s with the Civic’s but I dont care, they were in the show so deal with it
In no particular order, my top 10 cars for the NOPI/HIN show in Atlanta….

Put your flamesuit on!
Ive been wanting to try this for awhile but I needed the appropriate vehicle for it. Here is where the 911 comes in, this beautiful car is equipped with Porsche’s Aero Kit and spittin flames at ya! The before and after on this image is pretty crazy, I have about 2.5 hours wrapped up in the post processing on this shot but I think it was worth it. Its by far not a boring rig shot

A quick run down of what I did….
-Removed the rig from the image.
-Desaturated the car/wheels then brought the color back in the taillights and center caps.
-Got rid of reflections in the paint.
-Adjusted the levels on the wheels and tires to bring out more detail.
-Adjusted the exposure of wheels, taillight and exhaust tips.
-Added a better sky and getting rid of the trees above the car.
-Adjusted the exposure and color of the trees infront of the car.
-FLAMES!!!! Yeah i know they are corny. whatever, I like them =P hahhaa.
