If you are a fan of cars and traveling, TAS should be put on and checked off your bucket list as soon as possible! Here are a few of my favorite shots from the event but of course you can see all 100+ of my photos from the show in this months Super Street Magazine and on their website.
Shooting a drift event at Nikko Circuit has always been a bucket list thing for me. I’ve watched videos and seen photos from this facility for as long as I can remember seeing Japanese car culture so I was super stoked to be able to attend the Super Live Drift Event after Tokyo Auto Salon. Despite it snowing early in the day and being extremely cold I had so much fun and met some great new friends from all over the world. Check out some of my favorite photos I took below, but you can see the full photoset and read up on the event here:
Once a year there is a 1/4 mile event here where the fastest cars in Thailand come to Bangkok Drag Avenue to qualify for the Souped Up Thailand finals. Everybody builds their drag cars for this event and it really is a big deal…lots of 1000+ HP tube chassis racecars are in attendance and I saw many many 7-9 second passes being made by crazy Thai built and driven racecars. Built, tuned and driven by some of the nicest car guys you will ever meet in your life! It was such a good event….I’ll share a few of my favorite shots but you can see 100+ photos on Super Street Magazine’s blog here:
For my car friends, before you get flooded with Import Alliance photos I wanted to share some shots I took at a meet here in Bangkok yesterday. The guys at Connection Thailand organized a small event at a local movie theater where they allowed us a private screening of the Fast and Furious 8 movie trailer, park a few cars in front of the theater, and a private parking section with a DJ, models, vendors and food/drinks for everyone. It was a great event and thank you so so much to my friends here in Thailand for inviting me to hang out and drink beer, I had so much fun and I’m really excited for future events!
The Thailand Super Series has been Thailand’s premier motorsports organization for over a decade with race classes dedicated to everything from diesel race trucks, to 1.5L eco cars to fully race prepared exotic supercars. I was lucky enough to be here for the 10th anniversary of the Bangsaen Street Circuit, where a small sleepy beach town is shut down for an entire week and main road traveling through the city and along the beach is turned into a 3.7 KM 20 turn racetrack! The epic cars, epic track, epic location and beautiful weather made this one track event that I will without a doubt remember for the rest of my life! Check out some of my favorite photos from the event and to see the full 100 image photoset check out the Super Street Magazine blog!
I went to my first road race event in Thailand today, the BIRA Circuit 30th Anniversary track day. I totally did not expect to see a Jaguar XJ220 there…much less one with upgraded Garrett turbo’s, full fuel system and running a MOTEC Standalone. What a sick machine! A few weeks ago me and my friend here in Bangkok, Mark, got together to do a feature photoshoot of his carbon covered DC2 Integra for Honda Tuning. I have shot many cars over the years for this publication but very few have been as deserving as Mark’s creation which has stood the test of time with a build history of over a decade with 4 different color changes and rebuild after rebuild. I absolutely loved the approach to the current spec of the car, true to the original lines and character of the DC2 Type R but with the dial turned to 11.
Here are some of my favorite photos from the shoot, but make sure to check out the full photoset and article below:

A few weeks ago I met up with another automotive enthusiast here in Bangkok for a photoshooot of his Ferrari 488 GTB which just received a fresh set of Forgiato Turni-ECL in carbon fiber finish. Not only is he lucky enough to own this amazing piece of machinery but he also has his very own detailing business, which we took advantage of by shooting the car on his own property. The shots came out amazing and will be seen on Forgiato’s website shortly. Enjoy some of my personal favorite images from the shoot.
Back in Atlanta, a week before jumping on a plane to go explore Southeast Asia with my camera, I met my friend Tae for one of my very last photoshoots in ‘Merica. Tae had his S2000 featured in Honda Tuning a few years ago, but since then he had completely reworked the build and done something few car enthusiasts achieve…lock in a second magazine feature for the same car. This time the car would grace the pages of Super Street Magazine. A few months later, the images from our shoot and the long, hard story of the build is now on Super Street’s website and in print in the magazine in stores worldwide.

Tommy, one of Atlanta’s many Miata enthusiasts, purchased his NA generation roadster a few years ago and soon after completely lost his mind taking the car down a path leaving most of us thinking WTF? While a lot of people just didn’t “get it” the build constantly progressed over the years, with many revisions the car finally came together the way Tommy always envisioned and resulted in something completely original, absolutely badass and utterly brilliant.
I was super stoked when my friends at Super Street contacted me about shooting Tommy’s creation for a full feature in their publication. A few texts later me and Tommy met up for a photoshoot and we’re happy to announce you can now grab the newest edition of Super Street Magazine off the shelf, which contains the full story behind this crazy hot rod Miata and more photos from our shoot. Go grab a copy today!
For now, enjoy a few of my favorite images from our photoshoot, and as always click on each photo for the desktop wallpaper copy!
